2nd, ONLY using video (and no text at all) to explain what your offer is about.

This is usually a critical factor because not everyone likes to watch video. There are still a large number of people who prefer text to video. Yes video might be very popular today, but that does not mean you should exclude using text completely.

To avoid the bad outcomes of this recurrent error you will need to include both video and text on your squeeze page.

And lastly, creating a lead capture page / squeeze page that is ugly and unprofessional in design.

This is not good because people who don't know you yet judge you by the design of your lead capture page. If it's ugly and unprofessional, then they will view the creator of the page (YOU) as the same -- unprofessional.

And this is likely to trigger the word "scam" in their heads. This can be avoided by using lead capture / squeeze page that is professionally designed, yet not too flashy that it distracts the attention of your visitors.
